Woofstock, a festival of people, paws and pledges is what the Geauga Humane Society is calling its annual benefit for Rescue Village this year. The fifth anniversary of the 9/11/2001 terror attack on the United States adds significance to this year’s Constitution Day observance. The Accelerated Program at Ursuline College is sponsoring a program on the constitutional issues posed by the Patriot Act, with the Agent in Charge of the FBI in Cleveland defending the government’s position, and a journalist arguing that it erodes freedom of speech protection. Civil Rights attorney Avery Friedman will moderate the program. He joins Dee Dee Bober and Gina Fayne of Ursuline College to discuss “Too Much Information? Counterterrorism and America’s Right to Know,” on Saturday, September 16th, from 9:30 to 11:00am.
