Swim for Diabetes, an annual fundraiser for the Diabetes Association of Greater Cleveland, takes place in April. Seamus Hyland of Verizon Wireless, the title sponsor, and Curt Wagner, chairman of this year’s event explain how participants help patients afflicted with diabetes.

The 65th annual Human Services Institute takes place on Friday, March 23rd at the Cleveland Convention Center. Rosalyn Bucy Miller, Durector of Development and Community Affairs for the Center for Community Solutions describes the purpose of the institute and who will likely benefit by the event.

The American Lung Association is staging a fundraiser at one of Cleveland’s downtown skyscrapers. “Conquer the Tower” refers to the Erieview Tower, and the 600+ steps participants will be climbing Saturday, March 31st. Leigh Ann Casarona has all the details.
